The suspects, armed with a handgun and knives, tied up the couple and threatened them for over two hours, demanding they transfer their assets via cryptocurrency transactions. At the time, the couple's young child was also at home. After neighbors called the police, authorities quickly intervened, but the assailants had already fled the scene. The case has now been handed over to the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCOS) in Nîmes for investigation. Since January of this year, 80 similar incidents have been officially recorded.
