Congrats to Binance and happy 6th anniversary to BNB Chain! My first $BNB was bought at an offline meetup in Hangzhou back in May 2018, thanks to an old friend CX who introduced me to it. At that time, one $BNB was only a little over ten dollars. I bought around 10,000 as my initial position. Looking back now, it was unbelievably cheap. But interestingly, it didn’t lead to the “financial freedom” or “life peak” that people imagine. My first $BNB purchase actually ended with me selling at a loss due to lack of understanding. After buying in mid-2018, the entire crypto market entered a bear phase, and $BNB dropped from over ten dollars to as low as four or five dollars. Panicked and unsure, I eventually sold at a 60-70% loss because I misjudged the market and didn’t fully understand Binance. So every time I see $BNB’s price now, I think of this: A lot of things only make sense when you look back years later. What seemed “expensive” or “cheap” back then doesn’t really matter. What truly matters is whether you understood it and had the conviction to hold on. The second time I bought in, I held on—and I’ve never sold since.
