**[Nvidia DLSS 5 Officially Launched, Debut Game is NBA 2K27]** According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on September 1, The Verge reported that Nvidia DLSS 5 will officially launch on September 3. It currently supports only RTX 50 series desktop and laptop GPUs, as well as the GeForce Now cloud gaming platform. The debut game is NBA 2K27, which will be released on the same day. Other previously announced supported games (including *Resident Evil: Requiem*, *Starfield*, *Hogwarts Legacy*, etc.) have yet to confirm their release dates. Nvidia has positioned DLSS 5 as "the most significant graphics breakthrough since real-time ray tracing in 2018," but the technology has been mired in controversy since its announcement in March. Early demonstrations faced widespread criticism for significant alterations to the appearance of in-game characters. In terms of performance, DLSS 5 is resource-intensive, with Nvidia estimating a performance loss of approximately 50% to 60%. Even a mid-range RTX 5060 would require enabling 6x frame generation to achieve smooth gameplay at 1080p resolution.
