[Biren CEO: Domestic GPU Needs 200 Billion Revenue to Gain Supply Chain Influence]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on September 1, Zhang Wen, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Biren Technology, stated during a roadshow that 50 billion in revenue is the starting point for the development of domestic GPU companies, and achieving 200 billion in revenue is necessary to gain influence in the supply chain. Zhang Wen pointed out that the biggest challenge facing the domestic GPU industry next year will be insufficient HBM supply, with storage issues slowing down the industry's convergence speed, extending the timeline from the originally expected 2-3 years to 3-4 years. He also revealed that domestic HBM production will gradually ramp up in the first half of next year, with supply pressure expected to ease gradually by 2028.
