[MiniMax Co-Founder: AI Achieving 1% of Global GDP Autonomously Would Define AGI]
DeepFlow Tech News, September 1 — According to Bloomberg, Yeyi Yun, co-founder of China's AI lab MiniMax, stated at the Goldman Sachs Asia Leadership Conference in Hong Kong that the benchmark for AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) will be whether AI can autonomously generate 1% of global GDP. She noted that AI's ability for autonomous planning, execution, and self-assessment has begun to emerge as early signs of AGI, adding that she 'hopes this goal will be achieved soon.'
Additionally, Yeyi Yun emphasized that MiniMax's current priority is to enhance intelligence levels rather than expand adoption rates. She also revealed that the company is increasingly confident in achieving its goal of $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of the year.
