The attacker reportedly created 299 binary-options markets using a disabled oracle, triggering Injective’s refund mechanism. A bug allegedly let the attacker claim 2x the entitled refund, repeating the exploit across hundreds of markets to drain $4.9M. Injective halted block production for 3h 42m, deployed an emergency patch and restarted without a rollback.
