This time, I have to say @KiiChainio changed my perspective a bit: as soon as they discovered the issue, they immediately halted the chain for investigation, fixed the vulnerability, confirmed the on-chain status, and then resumed operations. They didn’t forcefully keep the chain running just for the sake of “uptime.” In the end, there was no loss of user funds, and they didn’t resort to rolling back the chain to fix the problem. Another thing that surprised me was that the Cosmos ecosystem continued to support KiiChain even after such a major infrastructure issue. After going through such a significant challenge, they managed to restore the network, patch up the security measures, and quickly get back to pushing the ecosystem forward. This kind of comeback speed is definitely rare. Of course, incidents like this are never a good thing, but every Web3 project will face a stress test sooner or later. In this regard, KiiChain at least provided a pretty solid answer this time.
