Been on a roller coaster for two days now. When I woke up this morning, I didn’t even check SK’s movement. I just saw that ADR was dropping and didn’t bother with it. My $161.2 short position has been open this whole time and was up about 20% in the morning, but I didn’t pay attention. Ended up being busy all afternoon and forgot to set a stop-loss price. Just checked now, and there’s only 2% profit left.
Short-term trading really requires constant monitoring. If you’re not paying attention, it can pull back quickly. Luckily, I’m okay with $161—it doesn’t feel like much pressure to me. Plus, I’ve got another order set at $168, and I earned a bit from the funding rate. But holding onto this position for so long kind of goes against my original trading plan. Honestly, I’ve just been lazy.
I’ll probably close it out in the next couple of days when the opportunity feels right. My main strategy is still to short ADR’s premium.
