The string of characters in my hand is the hash of a block on the Tron blockchain. A new block is generated every three seconds, visible to the entire world. No one can calculate it in advance, and no one can alter it afterward—not even me. Writing it down and holding it up is like giving this photo an on-chain timestamp: after this block was generated, I was standing here, with Victoria Harbour and the IFC behind me. Some people said I left Hong Kong yesterday. Don’t take my word for it—just paste the hash into TronScan to check the block time, then see when this post was published. During that time, I was in Kowloon. This is exactly what blockchain does: what has happened can be verified by everyone and altered by no one. Don’t trust people, trust the chain. When I founded Tron in 2017, this was the vision I had in mind.
