[This Week's Crypto Market Outlook: U.S. August Non-Farm Payrolls in Focus, Russia Launches Large-Scale Digital Ruble Promotion]
BlockBeats News, August 31: This week's crypto market outlook is as follows: U.S. August employment data will be a key macroeconomic event influencing the crypto market at the start of September. The U.S. August Non-Farm Payrolls report will be released on September 4, with the market expecting an increase of 58,000 jobs, compared to the previous decrease of 23,000 jobs. The unemployment rate is projected to be 4.1%, down from the prior 4.2%. Previously, U.S. July Non-Farm Payrolls showed a decrease of 23,000 jobs, with May and June employment data revised downward by a combined 103,000 jobs, further highlighting the importance of this employment report.
Additionally, U.S. ADP employment data, JOLTS job openings, ISM Manufacturing and Services PMI, and initial jobless claims data will also be released sequentially. If employment data shows significant weakness, it could reduce market expectations for Federal Reserve rate hikes, potentially driving U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar lower. Conversely, a rebound in employment could strengthen expectations for rates to remain high or even tighten further.
In the crypto market, Russia will launch the first large-scale promotion phase of the digital ruble on September 1, while concluding the public consultation on the regulatory framework for ruble stablecoins. In the UK, a parliamentary inquiry into the impact of banking and payment restrictions on crypto businesses will conclude on August 31.
Additionally, Kraken will clear residual user balances from 21 delisted assets between September 1 and 5. This week will also see a dense schedule of governance and token-related events: Ethena will vote on enabling the fee switch, with related revenue proposed to be used for ENA buybacks based on USDe supply milestones; Arbitrum DAO will vote on launching a paid Fast Feed transaction data stream; Sushi will vote on restructuring its tokenomics and deploying protocol liquidity to Robinhood Chain; and Lisk will vote on closing its DAO, burning 100 million LSK, and removing staking penalties.
