[South Korea's Four Major Exchanges Hold Staked Assets Worth Approximately $3.4 Billion, User Count Exceeds 1.22 Million]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on August 31, citing Yonhap News Agency, as of the end of July, the total staked crypto assets across South Korea's four major KRW-based exchanges—Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, and Korbit—amounted to approximately $3.4 billion, with staking users reaching 1.2255 million. This year, the average monthly staking rewards distributed to users amounted to roughly $7.57 million.
In terms of staked asset volume, Upbit remains the leader with approximately $1.764 billion, accounting for 51.78% of the total, followed by Bithumb with approximately $1.481 billion, or 43.41%. However, in terms of user count, Bithumb has surpassed Upbit since January of this year, with approximately 592,700 staking users as of the end of July, representing 48.37% of the total, while Upbit has around 359,500 users.
