[Report States Nearly $40 Out of Every $100 Earned by AI Companies Flows to Cloud Giants] According to a report by Jinse Finance on August 30, multiple foreign media outlets revealed that a recent research report by Barclays Bank in the UK pointed out that for every $100 in revenue earned by AI model companies, approximately $35 to $40 flows to the three major cloud giants in the form of inference computing costs. These giants are Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft's Azure cloud service platform, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Cloud service providers are able to generate approximately $10 to $20 in operating profit from this, corresponding to an operating profit margin as high as 35% to 45%. Meanwhile, the profit margin for paid inference services in AI labs has significantly increased, rising from low double-digit levels in 2025 to 50% to 65% or even higher in 2026, with adjusted gross margins improving year-over-year by 30 to 50 percentage points. Barclays analysts believe that the actual profit margins may exceed the estimates in the report. However, as competition among cutting-edge models intensifies and the supply of computing power continues to grow, profit margins are expected to gradually decline. (CCTV Finance)
