[JaredfromSubway.eth Sandwich Attack Bot Extracts $295 Million in Total, $7.5 Million Stolen in June]
Odaily Planet Daily News: The sandwich attack bot operated by JaredfromSubway.eth has cumulatively extracted 117,007 ETH since March 2023, equivalent to approximately $295 million at current prices. In June 2026, an anonymous attacker deployed 66 counterfeit token contracts, exploiting the bot's automated trading logic to steal at least $7.5 million in ETH and stablecoins. The stolen funds were transferred to Tornado Cash, and the related assets have yet to be recovered.
Sandwich attacks are a form of Maximum Extractable Value (MEV): bots monitor large transactions in Ethereum's public mempool, buy in before the target transaction, and sell after the transaction drives up the price, profiting from the price difference. As of August 28, the bot's main contract had received a total of 117,007 ETH.
MEV-Boost block construction is handled by a small number of participants, with relay.ultrasound.money, Titan Relay, and bloXroute-regulated relays collectively forwarding approximately 85% to 88% of related blocks within a 24-hour window. Titan's builder independently assembled 50.3% of the blocks.
The monthly extraction amount from sandwich attacks has decreased from around $10 million at the end of 2024 to approximately $2.5 million in October 2025. (Bitcoin.com News)
