[Polygon Labs Issues Emergency Client Upgrade Notice Following Austin and Kyoto Hard Forks] According to CryptoSlate, Polygon Labs has issued an emergency notice stating that Polygon PoS nodes still running older versions of Bor or Heimdall have fallen out of consensus following the activation of the Austin and Kyoto hard forks. Nodes must upgrade and catch up with the network. The Austin hard fork was activated at mainnet block 91,949,700 and requires Bor v2.10.0 or higher; the Kyoto hard fork was activated at block height 51,533,000 and requires Heimdall v0.11.0 or higher. The Austin upgrade addresses two types of Bor resource exhaustion risks: 1. L1-to-L2 bridge state sync events not being accounted for in the gas limit, which could slow down block processing. 2. The TxDependency field lacking size restrictions, which could cause peer node crashes.
