[Charles Schwab Plans to Add Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink Trading in the Coming Months] Odaily Planet Daily News: Financial services company Charles Schwab announced plans to include Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink on its cryptocurrency trading platform in the coming months, though the exact launch date has not yet been disclosed. The platform began offering direct Bitcoin and Ethereum trading to eligible retail clients in May 2026. Clients can buy and sell related cryptocurrencies via the official website, mobile app, and the thinkorswim trading platform, with a transaction fee of 0.75%, meaning a $1,000 trade incurs a $7.50 fee. Previously, clients primarily gained cryptocurrency exposure through exchange-traded products and stocks of companies like Coinbase and Strategy. Charles Schwab's Head of Digital Assets, Joe Vietri, stated that this expansion will provide clients with more options for allocating digital assets. CEO Rick Wurster mentioned in 2025 that the company is exploring the launch of a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, though no related products have been announced yet. (Decrypt)
