Sandhya Devanathan will take on this newly created role, becoming the highest-ranking OpenAI executive in the region. She will be responsible for consumer user growth, enterprise adoption and partnerships, operations, and communication with regulatory authorities, and will officially assume the position in October. Devanathan posted on LinkedIn on Friday, announcing her departure from Meta but did not disclose further details. An OpenAI spokesperson confirmed her appointment. Devanathan will be based in Singapore and report to Kiran Mani, Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region.
