Right now, this is trending on all the major domestic media platforms and continues to gain traction. Who is Brother Sun? A big shot in the crypto world, a gray-area tycoon under border control. In the past, something like this would never have blown up on mainstream media platforms in China. The typical gossip-loving crowd is usually aged between their teens and 40s. Most people’s first reaction when they see this is, 'Who is Justin Sun? What does he do to make billions of dollars?' Once they find out that Justin Sun got rich quick through crypto, it’s bound to lead some of these gossip enthusiasts to learn about or even step into the crypto world. Clearly, this goes against the previous crackdown policies. And it’s not just this. Recently, I’ve noticed that on Douyin, it used to be impossible to post crypto-related content. Even if you managed to post something, the views and likes were pitifully low. But lately, the exposure of crypto-related content has skyrocketed exponentially. I’m even frequently seeing videos with thousands or tens of thousands of likes. There’s definitely something happening behind the scenes that we don’t know about. Or maybe after 10.11, they’ve drained most of the existing funds in the circle and now need fresh blood?
