The opportunities that truly changed my fate came a few years later. But looking back now, I increasingly feel that making money is almost never determined by some random factor. Hard work, choices, personality, resources, knowledge, luck, the era you’re in—whether you made a mistake or changed direction after a failure—these seemingly insignificant variables at the time might push two people toward completely different lives a few years down the road. It’s kind of like the butterfly effect. In 2022, all I wanted was to make 10U a day to cover my living expenses. I never imagined everything that would happen afterward. But if I had quit back then because of losses from LUNA, FTX, or contracts, many of the opportunities that came later probably wouldn’t have had anything to do with me. So yes, I absolutely acknowledge that I was lucky and seized the opportunities that the times gave me. But before those opportunities appeared, all the seemingly pointless struggles, failures, jobs, people I met, and mistakes I made were actually slowly shaping the outcomes that came later. Life might just be like this—what starts as a few small choices, when you look back a few years later, turns into a completely different path.
