The latest data released by Iran's Statistics Center shows that the annual inflation rate as of July has reached 66%, with the July CPI up 87.9% year-on-year, and food prices soaring by 128% year-on-year.
In plain terms, the food that cost 100 bucks a year ago now costs an average of 228 bucks.
