[Iran: Pakistan and Qatar Working to Ease Tensions, No U.S.-Iran Talks Initiated Yet] BlockBeats News, August 17 – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated that Pakistan and Qatar are making efforts to ease tensions, with no other mediators involved at present. He mentioned that due to the U.S. violating a previously signed memorandum of understanding, Iran and the U.S. have not initiated any negotiations. The memorandum stipulated a timeframe for discussions on lifting sanctions and nuclear issues, but there is no so-called '60-day negotiation deadline.' Kanaani also noted that talks between Iran and Oman are ongoing, with both sides seriously working on drafting a maritime transit roadmap. Due to the complexity of the issues, the involvement of multiple parties, and attempts by some countries to disrupt the process, negotiations with Oman are taking longer. He emphasized that Iran will not make decisions under time pressure or ultimatums. (Jin10)
