pos is the worst thing that happened to ethereum after the rollup centric roadmap. (the DAO hardfork is nothing compares to these two. not blaming anyone here, we don’t know what we don’t know and I believe everyone was acting out of good intentions.) it not only make ethereum stop being a permissionless blockchain (you have to acquire 32 ETH, which often requires KYC through centralized exchange, and master staking skill to become a validator to keep the network running). it also leads to the governance capture, financial masturbation and social corruption. if ethereum can’t be freed from governance capture, how we can expect ethereum to be able separate the Internet and states. you don’t even need to censor the network to kill the network. i hope every ethereum community member think deeply how we end up in this situation and how we can do better. imo there’re only two ways to solve this: 1) make Ethereum more inclusive and embrace pluralism, which is a cultural issue and extremely difficult especially with ai brain drain. 2) ossified ethereum and make it governance free asap.(Zeng Jiajun 曾嘉俊)
