This is the charm of the Crypto industry—different fields are always attracting different talents. Even in a bear market, there are always people who can find their own opportunities. So now, whenever I meet young people, I listen to them seriously. I want to hear what they’re working on, how they’re making money, and what new insights they have about the industry. A lot of times, you really need to let go of your arrogance and biases. Age, followers, or how much money someone made in the past don’t mean they’ll always be better than others. When I first started working in Crypto, it was right after a bear market ended. Back then, the base salary was only $1,000 a month, but with commissions, I could make a few thousand dollars a month. At the time, I thought that was already a lot. Now, when I see how much commission some people are making in a month, it’s equivalent to what I earned in a year and a half back then. So, we need to acknowledge other people’s excellence. If someone is doing well, study why they’re doing well. Learn from the areas where others are stronger than you. If you spend all your time making excuses for other people’s success, you’ll only end up fooling yourself. I think climbing the ladder in Crypto jobs comes down to a few things. At the start, of course, it’s about salary. But salary is really just the most basic level. For normal Crypto roles, monthly salaries might range from $1,000 to $6,000. What truly creates income gaps are commissions, project token bonuses, and, at a higher level, resources. In a high-growth project, even if you’re just an ordinary employee, as the business grows, your commissions, tokens, and resources will scale up with it. But if the project stays stagnant, no matter how hard you work, the size of the pie you can get will always have a limit. Bear markets and bull markets are, of course, important. But at the end of the day, it’s still the same principle: capable people will figure out where the money is now, where the opportunities are, and then find a way to get involved. A bad market can explain why it’s harder to make money, but it can’t always be an excuse for why you haven’t made progress.
