SPCX jumped from 105 to 146: Reversal or post-unlock valuation recovery?
Here’s my take:
Around 105, it’s highly likely that a stage bottom has formed, but the 146-160 range isn’t a comfortable zone for chasing gains. Buying here isn’t about getting a bargain—it’s about betting on a breakout. OKX
In the previous cycle, SPCX dropped from above 200 to around 105, mainly due to overvaluation, overextended earnings expectations, and the simultaneous release of unlock pressure.
Simply put, this was a valuation correction and a sell-off, not a performance issue.
After stabilizing at 105, the stock price steadily recovered to 120, 130, and 140, with higher lows forming. This indicates that the most pessimistic phase has passed, and the market is starting to price in expectations for Starlink, AI, and a high-growth platform again.
However, the move from 105 to 146 only confirms strong recovery—it doesn’t confirm the end of the downtrend. The 150-160 range is where previous trapped positions and heavy trading volumes are concentrated, making it the toughest hurdle in this rebound.
I’m currently watching four key levels:
- $130: The lifeline of the rebound structure
- $140: The short-term strength/weakness boundary
- $160: The trend confirmation level
- $180: The mid-term reversal confirmation level
If SPCX can consolidate between $140 and $150 with low volume, then break out with high volume above $160, the next target could be $175-$180.
If $150-$160 sees high volume but fails to push higher, and the price falls back below $135-$140, this rally looks more like a valuation recovery rather than the start of a new major uptrend.
So my strategy is clear:
Below $160, I view this as a recovery. Only after holding above $160 will I start discussing a reversal. Breaking and holding above $180 would qualify it for a revisit to levels above $200.
Buying at $105 was about odds; buying at $148 is about trends. These are two completely different trades.
Just a personal trading review, not investment advice.
