The supply of Bitcoin held by long-term holders has decreased by approximately 210,000 BTC from the peak of 16.82 million BTC on July 29, marking the first weekly decline in 2026 and the largest two-week drop since December 2024. From August 9 to 11, the SOPR for long-term holders was 0.86, 0.90, and 0.86, respectively, with the transferred tokens averaging 10% to 14% below their purchase price. Sellers' average cost ranged from $71,000 to $76,000, primarily from addresses that bought between October 2025 and March 2026 and recently entered the long-term holder category. The report states that approximately 1.79 million BTC, or 8.93% of the circulating supply, is concentrated in the $62,000 to $65,000 cost range, creating persistent resistance in this zone. Meanwhile, the balance of addresses holding over 1,000 BTC rose to 3.06 million BTC as of August 8, setting a new high for 2026.
