[Analyst: Bitcoin Volatility Compressed to 3.8%, Major Movement May Be Imminent]
CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr. stated in an article that Bitcoin's volatility has compressed to 3.8%, one of the lowest levels in nearly two years. The ADX trend strength indicator has dropped to 11, approaching its lowest level in recent years. The market is in a narrow consolidation phase with no clear direction. Historically, such extremely low volatility states typically do not last long and are often followed by a significant movement, though the direction remains uncertain.
The analyst pointed out that Bollinger Band width was still in the double-digit range at the beginning of July but has now narrowed significantly. ADX is far below the 25 threshold required to identify active trends, with no active bullish or bearish signals. A breakout would require BBR expansion accompanied by ADX rising above 25 and the emergence of directional signals. Until then, the risk of false breakouts persists.
