[Korean Media: SK Hynix Plans to Increase NAND Production Capacity in China by 50%]
According to DeepTech TechFlow, on August 11, South Korea's *Seoul Economic Daily* reported that SK Hynix has resumed construction of the second-phase factory at its NAND flash memory production base in Dalian, China, with plans to expand capacity by approximately 50%. The factory began construction four years ago but was halted for a long period due to a downturn in the memory market. SK Hynix plans to complete the installation of semiconductor production equipment within this year and officially commence production in the first half of next year. The investment cycle in Dalian has restarted after four years, driven by the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence data centers, which has led to a surge in demand for enterprise-grade solid-state drives. NAND prices have risen nearly tenfold within a year. (Jinshi)
