[JPMorgan: SK Hynix dropped 15% last week, concerns over HBM pricing are overstated, and shareholder returns will be realized ahead of schedule]
DeepTech TechFlow reports, according to Trend Research, SK Hynix's stock price fell 15% last week, underperforming KOSPI (-5%) and Samsung Electronics (-9%). The market is concerned about HBM pricing discounts, unclear timing of shareholder returns, and the 54 trillion KRW capex plan. JPMorgan's August 9 report responded, stating that media reports of HBM pricing being halved are inaccurate, the shareholder return plan will be implemented by the end of September, and the 54 trillion KRW capex is aimed at achieving the 2030 goal of one million wafer production capacity, not short-term aggressive expansion.
