One of the highest-leverage productivity unlocks anyone can do, not only for their business but also for their personal life, is to set up a second-brain system. If you're anything like me, you've probably tried Notion, Obsidian, or some version of an AI second-brain setup. While these tools are definitely functional, I built a system that is 10x better. The real problem with these tools is what happens the moment you stop feeding them. Stop adding notes to Obsidian, and it goes stale. Stop updating your databases in Notion, and it stops being useful. Every one of these systems runs entirely on your discipline to keep maintaining it, and most of us simply don't have that kind of time to spare. So instead of forcing myself into another manual system, I spent weeks building something that maintains itself. It updates as I actually work, holds context permanently, and stores my real processes step by step (not just scattered notes about them). The system is basically this: 1. Audit your workflows Let Claude interview you about every recurring task in your life or business, one question at a time. It scores each on repeatability and how much human judgment it actually needs. 2. Turn workflows into skills Talk Claude through the process out loud, or record yourself doing it and let it build a reusable skill from the demonstration. 3. Build a folder system A "business brain" folder for context, and a "specs" folder holding every skill you've built. 4. Visualize it Turn each spec into an interactive map so you can actually see your automations instead of reading markdown files. 5. Deploy Claude agents, Hermes, or /loop inside Claude Code, running your actual processes on autopilot. Highly recommend.(Miles Deutscher)
