THE LATEST CONTENTIOUS BITCOIN PROPOSAL FLOPPED BIP-110 wanted consensus-level limits on arbitrary data in Bitcoin. It needed 55% of miners. It got 2.53%, with every block coming from one pool. On Aug 8 its nodes began rejecting blocks that didn't signal support. The chain they forked to mined two blocks, then stopped. ~3,100 nodes are stuck on it.
