[Hong Kong TVB Ventures into AI Computing Power Market: Plans to Establish Joint Venture Company to Build Data Center, First Phase to Begin Operations in 2027] According to HK01, Hong Kong TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited) announced that it has signed a memorandum of agreement with Triton Square Limited, an affiliate of BPEA EQT, to establish a joint venture company. The plan is to provide advanced computing power services in Hong Kong for artificial intelligence (AI)-related applications, with the goal of launching the first phase (Phase 1A, with planned computing power of approximately 10,000 PetaFLOPS) in the fourth quarter of 2027. As per the plan, the joint venture company intends to build a data center within TVB's corporate park located in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate to develop AI computing power facilities. It will procure, deploy, and operate computing power equipment, including GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) and CPUs (Central Processing Units), and provide AI computing power services to external third-party clients as well as internal group operations through a subscription model.
