[194 Companies on South Korea's KOSDAQ Market Have Market Values Below Delisting Standards, Accounting for 10.6% of Listed Companies on the Market] BlockBeats News, August 9: As of August 7, 194 listed companies on South Korea's KOSDAQ market have market values below the criteria for designation as administrative issues, accounting for 10.6% of the 1,820 listed companies on the market. Meanwhile, 41 companies on the KOSPI market are in a similar situation. Starting from July 1, the market value standard for KOSDAQ was raised from 15 billion KRW to 20 billion KRW, and for KOSPI, it was raised from 20 billion KRW to 30 billion KRW. Companies with market values below the standard for 30 consecutive trading days will be designated as administrative issues. Once designated, they must recover to above the standard for 45 consecutive trading days within 90 trading days; otherwise, they will enter the delisting process. In terms of stock price standards, 48 listed companies have already disclosed the risk of being designated as administrative issues due to their stock prices remaining below 1,000 KRW for 25 consecutive trading days. Among them, 38 are on the KOSDAQ market, and 10 are on the KOSPI market. If these companies do not have a trading day with stock prices reaching 1,000 KRW by August 12, they may be designated as administrative issues starting from the next trading day.
