According to a Reuters report, the U.S. will lift its blockade on Iran after Iran and Oman reach an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the U.S. expects the deal to be finalized soon.
This marks another major concession by the U.S. to Iran. Earlier this week, Iran added the removal of the U.S. Navy blockade to its four new demands.
However, under the agreement, Iran will still retain full sovereign control over the Strait of Hormuz, including control over incoming traffic, supervision of outgoing traffic through Oman, charging up to 7% fees on cargo for each vessel, and banning U.S., Israeli, and other hostile ships.
This time, it’s not just Trump TACO, it’s the U.S. TACO. If this really happens, it’s going to be a huge embarrassment.
