Collectibles can change hands, but a collector's personal experiences shouldn't be reset along with them. @renaissxyz is issuing SBTs this time to eligible Emerald and Trinity Pack users. What I find truly interesting isn’t just the addition of a few badges, but how it separates 'assets' from 'experiences' into two distinct layers. Physical cards handle circulation. They can stay in a vault, be listed on the market for trading, or be redeemed for physical items. Ownership keeps changing with each transaction. But what SBTs record is something else: which Packs you’ve participated in, which rare cards you’ve pulled, and what contributions you’ve made to the ecosystem in the past. These records can’t be sold along with the cards—they stay in your wallet. This design makes me feel like Renaiss is no longer just about managing who owns a card, but also about documenting who has truly participated in the collecting experience. Card prices may rise and fall, and assets may change hands, but a person’s participation history in the ecosystem can continue to grow. If, in the future, event qualifications, community identity, and more benefits become tied to these records, the true value of SBTs will emerge. It’s not about pricing the cards—it’s about leaving collectors with their own on-chain legacy.
