Italy's largest bank Intesa Sanpaolo cut its BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) holdings by ๐ต๐ฐ% in Q2 while simultaneously tripling its ETH ETF position โ a documented institutional rotation out of BTC and into ETH during the market drawdown.
๐๐๐ฝ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ: A 94% IBIT reduction by a major European bank is real BTC ETF selling pressure, but the simultaneous ETH ETF triple signals this isn't a crypto exit โ it's a relative-value call favoring ETH over BTC at depressed levels. If other European institutions follow the same rotation pattern, the BTC-to-ETH flow could widen the ETH/BTC ratio.
For traders on Hyperliquid and Aster, watch the ETH/BTC pair for follow-through. BTC faces near-term ETF outflow risk if more institutions rebalance; ETH gains a structural bid from institutional accumulation at lower prices. Both directions are tradeable.
