Xinhua Research Institute shared their insights, stating that Bitcoin dropped from around $65,000 to $62,000 last week, a weekly decline of approximately 2.8%. The main factors include hawkish signals from the Federal Reserve, delays in the progress of the U.S. digital asset market structure bill (CLARITY Act), weak institutional inflows, and security incidents. The report suggests that it’s unlikely the Senate will complete voting, bicameral coordination, and signing of the bill before recess, with substantial progress possibly delayed until September or even later. While the market has largely priced in the delay, the policy vacuum could still dampen risk appetite and increase volatility. Moving forward, Bitcoin’s trend will depend more on U.S. non-farm payrolls, unemployment rate, and CPI data.
