Isn't it completely normal for Bezos to cash out at a high point? Why the fuss? Bullish for $AMZN. 1️⃣ The majority of Bezos' wealth has always been tied up in Amazon. Now that the stock price is near an all-time high, selling a small portion to turn paper wealth into cash—for investing in Blue Origin, philanthropy, or personal asset allocation—is a totally normal move. No matter how optimistic someone is about their own company, there's no need to tie their entire net worth to a single stock forever. Besides, for Bezos, what’s truly scarce might no longer be more Amazon stock, but rather the cash and time to invest in his next big thing. 2️⃣ These sales happened over the past six months, not all at once. Historically, after Bezos makes large sales, $AMZN often continues to rise, especially when AWS/AI-related catalysts emerge. 3️⃣ When looking at insider selling, at least consider these three things: First, is it a one-off sale or part of a pre-planned strategy? Second, how much was sold, and more importantly, what percentage of the total holdings does it represent? Third, how much does he still have left after selling? He only sold less than 2% of his holdings. Why panic? 4️⃣ For regular investors, this serves as a great reminder: Believing in an asset and never selling it are two completely different things. Cashing out some profits at a high point doesn’t mean you’ve lost faith. Sometimes, it’s precisely because you’ve come so far that you should leave yourself a bit of room to maneuver.
