On July 31, the total holdings of the U.S. bitcoin:native spot ETF dropped to 1,212,713.60 BTC, with a net outflow of 3,320.68 BTC on the day. After two consecutive days of net inflows on July 29 and 30, there was another significant reduction, essentially reversing the net inflow of 3,521.19 BTC from July 30.
The cumulative net change for this week has fallen back to -286.41 BTC, bringing the overall balance close to even. However, the cumulative net outflow over the past seven trading days reached 7,523.87 BTC, indicating that fund performance in late July was noticeably weaker compared to the beginning of the month. The three major outflows on July 23, 24, and 31 were the primary reasons for the decline in total holdings over the past week.
Looking at the entire month of July, the total holdings of BTC spot ETFs still increased by 7,044.01 BTC, a growth of approximately 0.58%. In other words, although funds weakened significantly at the end of the month, July as a whole still maintained a net increase in holdings.
Since 2026, BTC ETF total holdings have cumulatively decreased by 89,062.67 BTC, but from the listing date to now, they have still increased by 590,362.93 BTC, representing a growth of 94.86%. Short-term fund movements remain volatile, but the foundation for long-term holdings remains stable.
