JUST OUT: 🇺🇸US manufacturing data gave mixed signals.
The ISM Manufacturing PMI came in at 55.6, well above the 53.9 forecast (53.3 prior), pointing to stronger-than-expected factory activity.
Meanwhile, the S&P Global Manufacturing PMI held at 53.9, showing the sector is still growing, but growth is slowing.
Output and new orders softened, exports remained weak, supply chain issues persisted, and business confidence fell to a nine-month low.
In conclusion, the ISM report shows manufacturing is stronger than expected, while the S&P survey suggests the pace of growth is beginning to cool.(Coin Bureau)
