[S&P 500 Index Constituents' Q2 Earnings Growth Expected to Reach 47.4%, Highest Level in Five Years]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports, on August 3, according to a report by Cailian Press, U.S. stock companies are gradually releasing their second-quarter earnings reports. Data from U.S. financial data and analytics software provider FactSet shows that, based on the data from companies that have already released their earnings reports and analysts' forecasts for companies that have not yet reported, the S&P 500 index constituent companies are expected to achieve a 47.4% year-over-year growth in earnings this quarter. This would mark the strongest quarterly earnings growth in the past five years.
Among the 158 U.S. companies that have released their earnings reports, 123 companies exceeded market expectations, 34 fell short, and 1 matched expectations. Overall, 138 companies achieved year-over-year revenue growth.
JPMorgan Global Market Strategist Hugh Gimber stated that U.S. companies' performance has been very solid, and the data released by companies in recent weeks has been highly positive. While the technology sector continues to lead, more industries are participating in the growth.
