How do people handle large funds? Do they just leave it all on exchanges? Is that safe? To be honest, my approach might be a bit different from most. I withdraw the majority of it. Back in the day, I kept everything except my living expenses on exchanges, and when the big bear market hit, I couldn’t hold on and lost it all ! The funds I keep on exchanges are the ones I can flexibly use. My futures account has a fixed 100K USDT, and my spot account has 1M USDT. The rest? I withdraw it, improve my quality of life, and treat myself better. The 100K USDT in the futures account is for short-term trades and swing trading—if I lose it, I won’t feel too bad. The 1M USDT in the spot account is just sitting there waiting for the right market conditions, and I occasionally trade trends. Anything beyond those amounts gets withdrawn. I use it to buy houses, cars, eat well, drink well, and spend time with family. Am I worried about bank risk controls when withdrawing? Of course, but as long as you plan properly, it’s fine. Withdraw in batches, keep transaction records, and ensure your fund sources are clear. Don’t be greedy and use shady channels to exchange USDT—that’s the real trap.
