Coinkite shipped firmware that bypassed the hardware randomness generator and produced predictable seeds. The vulnerability was introduced in March 2021 and remained undetected for over five years, despite your own documentation stressing that secure seed generation depends on high-quality hardware entropy.
Users trusted Coldcard to generate unguessable private keys. Instead, millions worth BTC was stolen without attackers ever touching their devices.
Your statement offers no reimbursement plan, no independent audit and no concrete commitment to make victims whole.
AI did not ship the bug. Coinkite did.
It was a very basic bug that engineering team at Coinkite should've caught.
