Sometimes, what you see through the screen is just the result. Only by sitting down and having a real conversation can you understand the rules, considerations, and details behind it.
Today, I went to watch a game with OKX, and the whole city was filled with people wearing OKX jerseys. Big thanks to Jiajia @Jiajia_OKX for getting me into the venue. During the event, I had great conversations with Mercy @Mercy_okx, Jiumei @Cryptosis9_OKX, Haiteng @Haiteng_okx, and many other friends. There were so many familiar faces at the scene, but I won’t @ everyone individually.
One of the topics we discussed today was about how many people have recently joined OKX Planet. Some are curious whether the content creation incentives are mainly given to invited KOLs. Actually, I’m an invited creator myself, but I’ve only received around ten bucks in total because I haven’t been consistently posting content on Planet. Invited KOLs don’t get any special treatment when it comes to creation incentives—it ultimately depends on the content itself.
Haiteng also mentioned that currently, 85% of the creation reward pool is actually in the hands of non-invited KOLs. The reason why people might misunderstand this is probably because they tend to pay more attention to the familiar KOLs. What they post and how much they earn is more visible, while many regular creators don’t sync their Planet content to X, so people don’t see it.
When information stays within the circles you’re familiar with, it’s easy to fall into an echo chamber.
This reminds me of when we first started writing content on X. We never thought about becoming big influencers, nor did we think about gaining anything from traffic. We simply wanted to share, believing that our experiences and insights might be helpful to others. That’s how we’ve kept writing until today.
For many people, OKX Planet is also a place to start fresh. No matter how many followers you had in the past, as long as you’re willing to share sincerely and help others, one truly valuable piece of content could be the beginning of something new. Like I wrote yesterday, many cognitive breakthroughs often happen in real exchanges—detail to detail, perspective to perspective. One proactive connection might just be a casual chat, but it could also lead to new insights, collaboration opportunities, or even become a turning point in life.
Don’t worry about the small rewards; the real value is something many people haven’t realized yet.
Proactive connections create possibilities. Be yourself, and strive to become a better version of yourself. Maybe that’s where the true meaning lies.
