Tether's latest reserve certification report shows that as of June 30, the company's excess reserves dropped from a record $8.23 billion last quarter to $4.11 billion, a decrease of about 50%. Although Tether reported Q2 net operating profits of approximately $1.5 billion, the report indicates that the company's overall financial results for the first half of the year showed a loss of about $3.17 billion. Based on this calculation, Tether's overall financial results for Q2 alone may reflect a loss exceeding $4 billion. This quarter, Tether increased its holdings by approximately 1,796 $BTC and 14 tons of gold, but the book value of these assets still shrank due to price declines. The company did not disclose specific reasons for other financial changes.
