[State Street: Bank of Japan May Raise Interest Rates in September or October]
BlockBeats News, July 31, Masahiko Loo from State Street Global Advisors stated that the Bank of Japan might bring forward its next interest rate hike to September or October, rather than the six-month interval many had anticipated. The strategist expects the Bank of Japan to gradually move toward a final interest rate level of 1.5% to 1.75%.
During Friday's press conference, Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda expressed significant concern about the possibility of inflation overshooting, stating that this risk cannot be ignored. Kazuo Ueda remarked: 'If we believe the financial environment is overly accommodative, it is entirely possible to accelerate the pace of rate hikes.'
