[Malaysian Police Bust Illegal Bitcoin Mining Operation, Seize 73 Mining Machines and Arrest 2 Individuals]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on July 30, as reported by the *New Straits Times*, Malaysian police recently dismantled an illegal Bitcoin mining operation located in Tronoh. Two men, aged 40 and 52, were arrested, and 73 cryptocurrency mining machines along with related equipment were seized. Investigations revealed that the site was illegally tapping electricity to power the mining machines, which included two abandoned houses and one unoccupied residential property. The case is currently being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code and Section 37(1) of the Electricity Supply Act 1990.
