[Aave: Phasing Out 50 Low Adoption Asset Reserves, Shutting Down Deployments on 6 Chains]
Aave founder Stani Kulechov posted on the X platform stating that, after a comprehensive review, Aave will phase out 50 asset reserves with low adoption rates across multiple deployments. Additionally, Aave is systematically shutting down deployments on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, involving another 25 asset reserves. As part of this process, 21 expired Pendle PT tokens will also be phased out to support new maturity products. Overall, these changes involve $98.1 million in supply and $15.6 million in debt. These measures, as part of the new Aave risk framework and technical asset listing framework, reduce Aave's economic and technical risk exposure.
