Microsoft Q4 Revenue Hits $90 Billion, Exceeds Market Expectations, Stock Rises 8.5% After Hours

BlockBeats News, July 30 — Microsoft (MSFT.O) reported Q4 revenue of $90 billion for fiscal year 2026, compared to $76.441 billion in the same period last year, surpassing market expectations of $87.63 billion. Capital expenditures for the fourth fiscal quarter reached $41 billion, while cloud business revenue for the quarter totaled $59.3 billion. Revenue from Azure and other cloud services grew 43% excluding currency impact, exceeding estimates. Free cash flow for the fourth fiscal quarter was $19.6 billion, a decline of 23%.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated: "Azure business revenue has surpassed $100 billion for the first time, and paid seats for Microsoft 365 Copilot have exceeded 30 million, reflecting customers' trust in our ability to support their AI transformation."
Microsoft's Azure cloud business achieved revenue of $39.3 billion in the fourth fiscal quarter, with a growth rate of 43%, higher than the expected 40% growth. As of the time of reporting, Microsoft's U.S. stock rose 8.5% after hours, pushing its market capitalization to $2.9 trillion.
