According to Wu Blockchain, Ostium released a post-mortem on the July 15 security incident, stating that attackers infiltrated its off-chain infrastructure and submitted unauthorized BTC-USD quotes via an approved relay path. They repeatedly opened and closed positions across 8 trades, extracting 23,752,746 USDC from the public OLP liquidity pool. Ostium clarified that no vulnerabilities in smart contract logic or multi-sig breaches were identified, and traders' margins were not affected. The abnormal profits were covered by the OLP pool. The pool's circuit breaker mechanism ultimately prevented further withdrawals. The team began on-chain mitigation at 14:55 UTC and froze all trading contracts by 15:14 UTC. The platform has since migrated to a new production environment with enhanced security controls and resumed trading on July 23. Efforts to trace and recover funds, as well as compensation plans for liquidity providers, are still ongoing. https://(wublock123.com)/news/news-65567
