[Solflare Card Suspends Service Due to Kulipa's Shutdown, User Funds Are Safe and New Version to Launch in a Few Weeks] Vidor, co-founder of the crypto wallet Solflare, announced on the X platform that the Solflare Card has been suspended starting today due to the insolvency and shutdown of its card-issuing partner, Kulipa. Vidor emphasized that user funds are safe because the Solflare Card operates on an end-to-end self-custody model—transactions are directly deducted from users' wallets without requiring deposits or top-ups, and no user funds are held by the card issuer. The team had made efforts to help Kulipa find a buyer and explore continuation options, but to no avail. A new version of the Solflare Card is already under development, featuring integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay, higher limits, cashback rewards, and the same self-custody model. It is expected to launch within a few weeks.
