[North Korean Hacker Group BlueNoroff Exploits Fake Zoom and Teams Meetings to Scan Crypto Wallets and Deploy Malware] According to Crypto.news, the North Korean-linked hacker group BlueNoroff is using fake Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings to target cryptocurrency users before deploying malware. The hackers first take control of trusted cryptocurrency industry contacts' accounts and then send seemingly legitimate meeting links via platforms like Calendly, directing victims to fake Zoom/Teams domains. Once users access the fake meeting page, the site silently scans the browser for wallets and determines whether to proceed with the attack based on the wallet's value. During the fake meeting, users are prompted to "update Zoom/Teams" or execute commands, which actually download malware (compatible with both Windows and macOS).
